Welcome from the Chair

Alder Hey is a very special organisation.  We care for over 200,000 children a year mostly at our main site in West Derby, Liverpool as well as from a range of community and hospital outreach settings across the North West of England, Wales and the Isle of Man.  We are one of only four specialist children's trusts in England,  a highly complex but high-performing organisation, providing the full range of clinical specialties from A&E to community and mental health services.

This appointment offers the opportunity to join a talented unitary Board with a strong track record of delivery, and to directly contribute to the continued success of the Trust as we seek to achieve our ambitious vision for the benefit of children, young people and their families.

You could not be joining us at a more interesting or critical time.  We are looking for an individual with in-depth knowledge of health and life sciences innovations, and of their benefits to patients.  You will need to demonstrate a vision for Alder Hey’s role as the leading medical technology innovation hub in the Liverpool city region, supported by an excellent grasp of the interdependence between research, investment and infrastructure.  You will also need significant strategic board-level experience and an excellent understanding of complex organisations operating in a financially challenging context.

If the prospect of joining our team at this exciting time appeals to you have a look through this website and in the first instance call Robin Staveley of GatenbySanderson on for a confidential conversation.
